Our Story
CREATING ink is all about making writing easier. We love words, and making works of fiction shine truly lights us up-we're kinda geeky that way!
Our team was formed in 2020 as a way to make the writing process feel less isolating. We love working on novels and collaborating to help authors find solutions to their writing problems.
Our team works across the world with our primary location being in Darkinjung Country in New South Wales, Australia. We acknowledge and respect the Darkinjung people as the original storytellers and true owners of the land where we reside. We acknowledge the elders both past and present.

Lauren Clarke

Author coach
Lauren has worked in publishing for more than 15 years. She works with both independent and traditionally published authors, some New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal best-sellers amongst them. In 2019, her work on Kennedy Ryan's book Long Shot garnered her a RITA Award.
Sali Benbow-Powers
Structural editor
Sali is a structural fiction specialist who has worked with a range of independent and traditionally published authors. Her clients have won a host of awards both in Australia and overseas. Sali excels in character development and structure within a story.
Anna Bishop
Line editor
Anna has been a member of the CREATING ink team for three years and believes she has one of the best jobs in the world. Authors love her for her kind and gentle guidance, and her attention to detail when working across a multi-book series.
Kelly Golland
Line editor
If Kelly was a superhero, she would be Captain Show, Not Tell. This multi-talented editor is also an author who's been published with Harper Collins/Harlequin since 2013. She has two RUBY nominations under her belt and believes the editing process should be fun, not scary-an ethos we all share here at CREATING ink.
Madeline Ash

Madeline brings a decade of publishing experience to CREATING ink. After working as a business and professional writer and editor for ten years, she's immersed herself in the world of fiction-where she truly excels. As an author, Madeline is a two-time RITA Award finalist, a five-time RUBY Award finalist and a two-time RUBY Award winner.
